  National Society dedicated to the welfare of foxes, squirrels, chipmunks, hedgehogs, etc. Membership of active and non-active like-minded people. Publishes 'Bushy-Tales' no less than 6 times a year for the Members - new members very welcome. Advice available
• National Fox Welfare Society  www.nfws.org.uk Volunteer organisation in the UK dedicated to helping foxes. Lots of information and links - a superb site.
• The Fox Project http://www.foxproject.org.uk A charity dedicated to the protection, rescue, and advocacy for the wild fox. It operates in S.E. England, in the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex and S. London areas. As well as speaking up for the fox, it  provides rescue for injured and abandoned foxes and works closely with volunteers and wildlife to provide for their care and rehabilitation back into the wild.
• HEDGEHOGS
• British Hedgehog Preservation Society: http://www.britishhedgehogs.org.uk: Founded in 1982 and Based in Shropshire (but covers the UK) BHPS provides help and advice on hedgehogs and maintains a list of hedgehog and wildlife care centres across the UK who can take hedgehogs in. Produces education packs for schools and a wide range of information leaflets. (Loads of useful stuff on here - Ed)

• Epping Forest Hedgehog Rescue: Loughton, Essex : http://www.thehedgehog.co.uk: Taking in sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs from the West Essex & North East London areas. Emergency collection facility available for those without transport ( local areas only ) Very informative site
• Fylde Hedgehog Rescue: North West Lancashire: http://www.hedgehog-rescue.org.uk: A volunteer organisation based in North West Lancashire dedicated to providing high quality care for sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs.

• Jersey Hedgehog Preservation Group: Jersey, Channel Islands: http://jerseyhedgehogs.co.uk/ Rescues and cares for sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs in Jersey, C.I. and releases them back into the wild once they are fit. Also work to increase public awareness about hedgehogs and the dangers they face living on a small island in close proximity to humans.
